What is Conscious Leadership?

Conscious Leadership is a unique approach to personal and professional leadership development grounded in principles of personal integrity, authenticity, courage and transformation aimed at leadership acceleration, integration and expansion.

The ONYX Method ™

The ONYX Method is a transformational leadership development program consisting of four modules (approx. 8 hours total delivered in-person or virtually). Each module includes an experiential training component designed to reinforce one or more of the following O.N.Y.X. principles of conscious leadership:

  • Want to blame others for how you have created, promoted or allowed your circumstances

  • Are unwilling to engage with your humanity despite your title, position or status

The ONYX Method Conscious Leadership Program Consists of:

1. Call to action: A 90-minute jump start call where we introduce the key principles of conscious leadership, create agreements around the ground rules for our work together, and answer questions to set the stage for the Onyx Method leadership journey.

2. Pre-work: You will receive assignments in the form of readings, writing exercises and audio/visual resources to complete in advance of the beginning of our work together with a time investment of 1-2 hours.

3. Four Part Program: Each of the below modules will be 90-minutes to two hours, and may take place virtually or in person over the course of 1-2 days depending on scheduling and organizational preference.

Module 1: Owning your leadership journey – this module helps you understand your personality and patterns and provides an opportunity to slow down and set clear intentions for what you are looking to create in your world through conscious practices.

Module 2: Navigating Otherness – this module challenges you to discover what’s beneath the service of your personal identity, observe and reveal blind spots, dismantle microaggressions, unhealthy patterns, and toxic ways of being that hinder leadership in a diverse landscape.

Module 3: Your Values & Alignment – this module provides tools to identify your personal values, how they change over time, and teaches you how to align them with your organizational goals in order to empower choice and higher levels of leadership.

Module 4: Expanding your leadership – this module pulls it all together, creates commitment to practicing a curious and open mindset to expand possibilities and achieve amazing and unexpected results in your leadership and your life.

4. Personal Coaching: Leaders are invited to participate in an optional 3 months of 1:1 virtual coaching sessions with a certified Little Training Company coach. This will consist of six 60-minute coaching sessions, scheduled approximately every two weeks. The coaching relationship includes unlimited email and text access, as well as two spot coaching calls.

5. Leadership Integration: This call is a 90-minute group session for graduates of your cohort of The ONYX Method program. The goal is to provide a space to reflect on the learnings and work through any trouble areas or obstacles that have occurred in executing your new Conscious Leadership practices.

  • 4 conscious leadership focused learning modules (8 hours of experiential training & instruction)

  • 3-months of optional 1:1 coaching (6 calls) plus spot coaching via email, text and phone

  • 90-minute Group Integration & Reflection Call

Catherine is a Certified Life and Leadership Coach and practicing Intellectual Property Attorney. Her approach to coaching and leadership development is simple: facilitate dynamic discussions with easy to understand concepts that can be applied to everyday life, so that her clients can experience extraordinary outcomes personally and professionally.

Her credentials include a coaching certification from Elementum Coaching Institute, as well as various courses from renowned institutions including Landmark Worldwide Education, GE Crotonville Corp. Training Center, and the Enneagram Institute. She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and a law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.
